abandoned theme parks

THE PREHISTORIC FOREST, IRISH HILLS, MICHIGAN is the theme park i would love to visit to take photos because it has dinosaurs in it. i really like dinosaurs because they are amazing creatures and look cool. plus since the park is run down then the statues of the dinos look alot more authentic.

     unusual places
1. skatepark
2. the 9th st. dirt jumps
3. run down water park
4. creepy mansions
5. woods at night

I think it would be fun to shoot at this location just because dirt jumping is unpredictable. No matter how often you jump dirt you're not assured the same outcome every time. Its just the fact that its a surprise to the photographer and the jumper as well

well for say its in down town i just need to take the city bus there witch costs a dollar to ride and well i mean I'm always there anyway so i don't see why i can't take pictures there i just need a camera .

Great Black and White photographers PART 3

1.) What first caught your eye while looking at your photographers photos? Is there

something in particular about their photos that made you want to choose them?  The main reason I chose this photo is because i like how it looks as if the man is holding on to  the rocket as it blasts off.

2.) Look at those 2 photos you posted last time in the assignment Great Black and White

Photographers Part 2. Use your five senses to tell me more about those photos. Answer

them on your blog.

I see a group of men watching a rocket blast off

I smell the fumes and smoke the rocket is releasing

I hear the rocket whistling past my ear

I taste the smoke as the wind blows it in my direction

I feel excited because i got to witness something so amazing. also afraid about what will  happen next.

1.) What first caught your eye while looking at your photographers photos? Is there

something in particular about their photos that made you want to choose them? the way the plants are lined up so it makes it look cool

I see lines as if it where a leaf of a palm tree or maybe a small branch

I smell the dew off the plant

I hear the camera taking the shot

I taste the plant as i accidentally run into it

I feel the smooth texture of the leaf

mural project preview

On your blog please answer the following questions:

1. What theme that we could take here at school could we do a

series of these panels to place around the school?

I think that we should do a vehicles of the students theme

2. Should we use phones only, or should we open it up to our

regular cameras for those people that don't have camera phones?

We could mix it, have people use both so its more dramatic.

3. Where would you want to put the mural on campus?

The main entrance of the school. By the main stair well.

Africa: Black_an_White

1. On your blog post your reactions to the power pointthis was an amazing set of photos i mean i really  liked it because i am an animal fan. the way the animals in this photo looked blew my mind. the were free so it really shows their truer nature. 2. What was your favorite photo (find a way to get a copy of the photo and post it on your blog)?
3. Describe it and tell me why its your favoritethis is my favorite photo because i like how much the color of the zebras is emphasized. the background is amazing as well.

b.     What is his reason for taking the photos? he had fallen in love with animals while directing a music video for Michael Jackson.

a. What kind of camera did he use?

He uses aPentax 67II with only two fixed lenses

c.     What is his hope by taking these types of photos?

What I am interested in is showing the animals simply in the state of Being. In the state of Being before they are no longer are. Before, in the wild at least, they cease to exist. This world is under terrible threat, all of it caused by us. To me, every creature, human or nonhuman, has an equal right to live, and this feeling, this belief that every animal and I are equal, affects me every time I frame an animal in my camera.
d.

Find something he has to say about Africa and post the quote on your blog

"You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close.''

1. Why did you pick this photo? i picked this photo because it is about long boarding and i am a big fan of action sports.
2. What rules of photography are evident in the photo? simplicity, balance.
this is a photo of two young men sitting on the back of a minivan. they are holding their long boards and the one on the left is doing the hang loose hand gesture. they are warming helmet and knee pads for safety.

1. Where do you think you could take photos like the ones you look at today? in a science class or a skatepark. maybe for the peaceful ones at a daycare while the children are in nap time.
2. Whose classroom would you like to visit and take photos in?i would have to say i don't know because i have yet to see a teacher let us try some crazy experiment like that in my last set of photos  but ms. Roberson's class would have to be the best choice i think.
3. What will you do, as the photographer, to get amazing photos like you look at today? look at the crazy in life not just what the eyes see but what illusions the mind can make while looking at things like in past photos I've seen. never missing an opportunity to make the picture worth while.

academic shoot preview

action and emotion
the action in this photo is the explosion in the cup. The emotion is shock and excitement shared between the two young ladies.
the story
this is a thing called "see you at the pole". it happens once a year nation wide. kids go to a pole and the all pray at their school before, after, or during. You can either do it alone with afraid or two or your whole group of friends. the school is not aloud to stop the kids from doing it unless they are using it as an excuse to get out of class. you are supposed to do it on your free time.

filling the frame
this frame is filled by the light given off by the welding tool. the way it makes it look like an exploding star really makes the audience take a second look at it.
