40 greatest photos taken

the reason i chose this photo is because it shows a boy runny to his father one last time before he is drafted to war. the reason it really caught my eye is because the first thing you see is how many thousands of men are lined up in uniform then when you focus in on it you realize that there is a small boy runny to a man in line plus its black and white and i like the way that looks. I think this made it to the top 40 most powerful photos ever because is just a beautiful scenery i mean who doesn't  like family love its just very emotional and people love passion and this photo has that.

 the reason i choose this photo is because it was the first photo taken from the moon and the colors are amazing. if you notice that the earth still looks quit large yet its so far away from the moon. its just a beautiful picture because all you see is the surface of the moon and then the earths atmosphere. i think it made into the top 40 most powerful pictures ever because its just beautiful and space is just so interesting to everyone because its so vast and unknown its like something out of a science fiction film

in this photo it has a Russian war is kneeling down by the tank he was in during the war. it is now a monument . its powerful because depending on the kind of person you are you could say he is praying for his lost friends who died in that war or also paying his respect for the the dead, or even thanking this vast machine for saving his life and the crew he was a part of. the reason i think its elrcted as the top 40 greatest photos ever taken  is because it show how people can honor the past and also the intencity of the photo because there is so much people can try and find out what this photo means.                                  Posted on May 29, 2008 by russia
